i caught another amazing show from
the incredible tubes at Summerfest in Milwaukee, WI and was fortunate enough
to help set up Prairie Prince's drums and Gary's Cambra's keyboards.
i was also placed 'on reserve'
as Roger Steen's guitar tech.
Several fans and the entire band (and
soundman) hooked up afterwards at a downtown bar called
Moe's (from the Simpsons?)
(photo and graphics by george/onionhead
melissa/soulsiskris)
Kasim Sulton opened the show. During
his set he broke a string and i was invited onstage to change it for him.

i booked and mixed one of madison's
wackiest bands at Hollyrock's, my home in whiskey rapids.
they ripped many faces off in typical
donk style.
i also opened the show with some zaniness
of my own - and a couple guest lizardz - and sat in on donk's set.

caught david bowie with scott walker,
sharon, and drummer jeff in chicago at the quaint rosemont theatre.
the band was great, sound was killer,
song selections excellent, and
well...it's just soooo great to catch
yet another legend - see 'em all before you can no longer.
we also hooked up with john san juan
of chicago's HUSHDROPS
(hushdrops' volume one is my second
favorite 2004 release - you really need to own this!)
