(i know i would NOT have wanted to follow golde)
(to about 1/5th of the crowd that was there for Marc Golde band-partially
due to the fact that the Harley had been given away)
good band but i am SO TIRED of that alt-country-americana crap

i mixed the aTomix for RCCA, rapids' public access TV station

10/8-11/6
working on mixes for the aTomix demo CD in The Den in Area 31
"Can't Get Next to YOU" and "All Your Lovin'"
this fine band stars Tom Dewitt and features guitar god Kevin Stellman,
solid bassist extraordinaire Scott Reeves, and Jack
Faville on drums
10/7/6
The Lizardz played Hogs
to Bogs again, a great event that binds harleys and crannies at the
hotel mead
(WHAT A GORGEOUS DAY to perform outdoors!)
violinist Ginger Martin sat in for 4 tunes...quite exciting!
megan gettin' down with neighbor noah
(christopher on the left)
a drummer in the making!
SEVERAL drummers in the making!!
...the aftermath...
(above 2 shots by roadie jeremy - THANKS!)
...then OFF to 4 stools short
to see ferris wheeler, an up-and-coming
rapids band that excells in late 70s and 80s material
featuring the incredible todd ashbeck on lead guitar
NOBODY Styx like todd
the masters footpedals
(i LOOOOVE shots like these!)
dirty deeds done TNT-'tis tough to sing Bon Scott but this guy does
it damn well
their soundwoman
...and part-time singer
twin guitar power!
THEN off to kellner for relentless
(what a night/day!)
new lead singer josh rude
kellner's ROCK GOD tim karbowski hits the skins
ghosts abound the wildhorse saloon
axe-slinger, and my lizardz backup, gary mossak...
and his wonderful wife deanna

being shot as i shoot!
lizardz mark and brenda made it there too
10/6/6
The Lizardz are looking for a new drummer...interested? contact
me
10/4/6
the afternoon started innocently enough in downtown stevens point
(another trip to Radio
KAOS)
then off to gas up at Pump and Pedal
(where else can you hear pigpen wailing alligator while gassing up?
nowhere! and such GREAT bathroom art!)
for a follow-up visit to plainfield
(now that the internet has pointed me even closer to ed gein's place-THANKS
INTERNET)
in the 'backyard' looms a bizarre sight
wild turkeys race across the street
-proof of life in an unholy land
getting closer as a neighboring house hints at madness near
close is as close gets-looks so unstrange
yet inviting (for $250,000!!!!!!)
Ed Gein's land for sale
someone actually 'works' here
ON Ed Gein's land
as well as hunts VERY nearby...
and shits...
blessed or cursed?
inside the neighboring hunting shack
turning half-of-six figures in front of his land
the land bends and twists all around
as it once stood it is now NOT
where i belive THE bar once stood...
is now a farmer's delight
then...in search of a tombstone departed
5 years back
the plainfield cemetary is full of artistic history
(i mean no sacrilidge of the dead and even spoke of peace and respect
as i walked among them)
an angel watches over...
a mother and son
where music even plays...
and even weed is dead
even dreams can be caught in such a place
even a fresh one
those swans seem everywhere (see 9/27/6)
could it be my artist of the month??????
getting closer as the sign barely realizes a small painted arrow-showing
the way
almost the entire family...geez, who's missing?
the famous one ain't there
but in its place there is beauty
a full-ish moon rises over my shoulder to bring on another night
as it watches over the Den at Area 31
what a trip! one may ask, "why the fascination with ed gein?"
well, it IS the month of Halloween so scariness abounds
and being brought up so close to this piece of history is relevant,
intriguing, and disturbing
plus i have always been intrigued about the macabre...
YIN and Yang!
bringing us back to...
10/3/6
a day of yin and yang (not) lost on me
the beauty of the road...
seems abundant these daze...
even as the skies darken
as one approaches ed gein-land
the roads scream of desolation of the past and abandoment
...yet life is abound-aching to sing...
to be preserved for all eternity
getting closer, i feel
another trip to the rudolph
grotto yields much feeling
10/2/6
was nice enough to invite this beer-slinger to their tent for Packers/Eagles

"On The Way Home"
by Neil Young
When the dream came
I held my breath
with my eyes closed
I went insane,
Like a smoke ring day
When the wind blows
Now I won't be back
till later on
If I do come back at all
But you know me,
and I miss you now.
In a strange game
I saw myself as you knew me
When the change came,
And you had a
Chance to see through me
Though the other side
is just the same
You can tell
my dream is real
Because I love you,
can you see me now.
Though we rush ahead
to save our time
We are only what we feel
And I love you,
can you feel it now.
...on the way home...
(all shots on the way to Biron)

Who's That Man?
Composer: Todd Rundgren
Who's that man, who's that man?
Who told him that he could hold your hand?
When I looked him in the eye he ran
Who's that man, who's that man?
Maryanne, who's that man?
There's one thing that you should understand
You know many things that go unsaid
By the way one earns his daily bread.
He's a lotus-eater, a plow-share beater,
A rack-jobber and an old grave robber,
A strip miner, a big headliner,
A charge-card diner and he comes from Carolina.
Maryanne, who's that man?
Do you think he's doing all that he can?
Can you tell me after all I've said
That you'd leave me and take him instead?
He's a gun-clubber, an eye-rubber
A bum's rusher and a big ball-crusher
A draft-boarder, a food-hoarder
A strike-breaker and a heavy speed-taker.
He's a black brother, an unwed mother
A flag-waver and a rock and roll raver
A hippie killer, an offshore driller
The new messiah and a habitual liar.
(we'll miss ya, man!)
