Fellow Lizardz' guitarist Milo and i finished the first of, hopefully, many live Lizardz compilations which we can tailor to various venues after 16 hours of perusing the many live shows we have in hand... 

inspired by our promo idea for the wildhorse, and our soundman's live demo cd, 
the live lizardz 'authorized bootleg series' began friday by 3 of us digging through all recordings we have in hand. 

notes were taken on each and every song on these discs-based on various 'tests', 
some were keepers and some were not. 
these 'tests' included such variables as: 
is the entire song on the recording? 
is this the best version available or is there a better one? 
how's the mix? 
any blatant errors? 
(etc) 
beginnings and ends were also taken into account 

the initial concept was to make one cd, a 'best of' all the recordings we have in hand combined with some studio material, but as we perused through the pile we found more songs that 'passed the tests' than we thought so a 'small pile' of goodies became quite large-but much smaller than the mountain we began with. 

so we began to see that we could TAILOR MAKE different editions for different venues, something that should excite owners, workers, and fans...and get live and studio recordings (and originals) out of the den and into hands outside the band. we also attempted to get all vocals and styles represented. 
gary mossak is also featured (live and studio) as he has been with us at the wildhorse. 

2 of us then began to assemble the first of these, designed for this month's wildhorse show 
the 5 male lizardz listened to many of the cuts after the super bowl 
the final tweak was assembling in an order that made sense and had flow 
-MUCH more tricky than we thought. 
also we looked at running time-many bands feel they need to fill an entire CD because they can and this often leads to death. we decided to go with under an hour so as to represent the good stuff and leave 'em wanting more. 
hopefully, fans will collect and trade these (like football cards) 
and this may get some to go to multiple shows at different venues. 
our keyboardist and art teacher mark has a great idea for the disc covers that will work well with this concept,
